Growing Tips

The very first step would be to document yourself on:

  1. The natural habitat of orchids.
  2. The climatic conditions of your proposed growing area.
  3. Select orchid species/hybrids that would thrive in your conditions.

The next step would be to

  1. Accommodate your growing space with adequate shading, ventilation.
  2. Choose your plants; not too young; preferably at near flowering size.
  3. Bare root plants should be potted in a suitable medium which will maintain a good level of humidity around the roots.

Once the plants have settled in their pots:

  1. Water regularly as appropriate.
  2. Apply fertilizer according to the stage of growth.
  3. Inspect plants regularly to detect pests/disease occurrence and treat accordingly.
